Go touch some grassšŸƒ

Itā€™s easy to get into a routine of shuttering away from the cold. So I make it a point to leave early every morning during the week just to get outside, breathe some fresh air, and feel the sun hit my skin.

For some reason, this particular winter, itā€™s been a struggle! And itā€™s not even been that cold at all.

But I do it and feel great after.

Iā€™ll find a cafe nearby, drive to the food court on base, or one a little further away. I work on my planners or school work. Iā€™ll go to my car to make or take phone calls.

I find Iā€™m more productive this way vs staying inside.

Now, the only piece Iā€™m missing is the motivation to work out! I mean I DO want to but donā€™t often FEEL like it. So, I donā€™tšŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™€ļø

Ugh šŸ˜‘

I HAVE made sure I meditate for at least 3-5 minutes most days. Even when I donā€™t feel like it. I just checked my stats, I have a streak of 3days going this week. I skipped the earlier part of the week so Iā€™ll take the progress!

The app I use is called Balance. Itā€™s offering a free year so itā€™s well worth a try. So far Iā€™m using the wake-up prompt but there are so many others Iā€™d like to try. Itā€™s only for 3 minutes so itā€™s perfect. I did do a centering one last week because I saw a rodent when I was out and about and it stressed me outšŸ˜±šŸ˜©

Now I canā€™t help looking to ensure one isnā€™t in my vehicle before jumping in. Good griefā€¼ļø I donā€™t know why Iā€™ve always been scared of them but I just can NOT with rodents. The germaphobe in me cringes at the thought of them running amuck. Sure, they have a role in the ecosystem, but I canā€™t deal with them.

Sorry, not sorry.

So, on this self-care Saturday, Iā€™m signing off so I can get dressed, and get on with my day making sure I go touch some grass.

Make sure you do the same.

Go ahead, put the phone down, step outside and go touch some grass toošŸ˜ŠšŸŒæšŸƒšŸŒ³šŸŒ»ā˜€ļøāœØ
